About Us

Early Roots

Leo Drioli (past publisher of Golden Age magazine) and Enza Vita (past publisher of Woman Spirit and Health & Wellbeing magazines) have been publishing pioneers for over 20 years and established InnerSelf in 2003 in response to their local holistic community's need for an effective way to share information and connect with people searching for Body, Mind, Spirit products and services.

Success of the original SA edition was immediate. Two years later, avid readers convinced them to launch a second edition in NSW and a third edition in QLD followed the year after.

In each state free copies are circulated at public distribution points such as health food stores, bookshops, new age retailers, alternative health clinics, organic outlets, healing centres and body-mind-spirit festivals as well as libraries, community centres, week end markets, fitness centres, and coffee shops. It's extremely popular with distributors reporting them "walking out the door" with many of our larger distributors being restocked monthly.

Messages of spirituality, natural health, wellness and personal growth are eagerly awaited by 297,000+ readers each issue.

Extensive coverage of local community news and calendars of upcoming events prompts readers to pick up their copy early so that they can refer to it throughout the life of the newspaper. That's staying power!

InnerSelf Publishing is committed to providing cutting edge, timely and inspiring information. Stories and features are created and selected that offer a roadmap to a more conscious, healthier, and authentic life.

"The conscious living revolution we saw emerging years ago when we first started publishing Golden Age in 1988 and then Woman Spirit in 1994 and Health & Wellbeing in 1996, is now in full swing", say the publishers Leo Drioli and Enza Vita. "It is propelled by the kind of people who read our paper and visit our website. Sharing the good news is both fun and rewarding. We love what we do. Our goal is to awaken one community at a time..."
