WISDOM of the KABALAH

A Pathway to
Health & Happiness

by Gilla Mogilivsky

The quest for love, good health, prosperity, happiness joy and abundance has mystified the old the young and the wise from the beginning of time. How is one to find the path that would lead us to our destination? After all, we were brought into this world naked and helpless. There is no manual or road map attached no instructions to follow. According to Kabalah, we come to this world with a task of correcting the negative aspects of our personality. The more correction we achieve, the more happiness and abundance can come our way. It is the negative character traits that block the natural flow of energy and prevent us from receiving the abundance we seek. It is in fact the individual who is responsible for what happens in his life.

What is Kabalah?

The term means “That which is received” in Hebrew. It inspires mankind to seek the spiritual path, union with the divine, while maintaining a full social, family and community life. Kabalah is a system of thought, pathway to happiness and a way to correlate a variety of archetypes, each symbolizing a different aspect of living. The wisdom of the Kabalah gives us tools for self healing, self transformation, and self empowerment.

In the Kabalah there seems to be a system which parallels closely the dynamic inter-relationship between spirit and nature, earth and heaven. The Kabalah seems to inspire and promote how to live a creative, loving, and fulfilling life. The Kabalah attempts to bring the balance and harmony between our masculine with the feminine (Shekinah).

Pranic Healing – a synthesis of Kabalah and eastern philosophy.
An eastern founder of energy healing (Pranic Healing), Master Choa Kok Sui has synthesized the knowledge of the kabalistic Tree Of Life with the eastern knowledge of chakras and has created a healing modality that enhances one’s health, and assists in clearing the negative character, thus promoting the flow of light into our energy bodies, the source of all abundance. The Kabalistic Tree of Life provides us with insight and understanding into the study of the human energy field and chakras. Master Choa revealed that there are eleven major chakras, corresponding to the Sephirot. The complexity of our energetic make-up as outlined in the Kabalah is easier to understand when combined with the eastern perspective on chakras.

The Tree of Life
The Kabalistic Tree of Life is very ancient. It was first mentioned in the Old Testament, the Garden of Eden. The literal translation of the Hebrew word ‘Kabalah’ is to receive. This refers to receive the light of the creator, the light being the source of all abundance.

According to the Kabalah the Universe is based on order; its basic pattern is summed up in the Laws embodied in the Tree of Life, it is also an imprint of the human energetic anatomy

Sephirot
The Sephirot are the ‘branches’ of the tree of Life. They are described as transformers of light (energy). The Kabalah refers to the Sephirot as dimensions, made invisible by veils. The light, being the source of all abundance, continuously emanates light or life force. But we are unable to receive, because our beliefs about the nature of abundance are distorted by these veils. The Sephirot provide a “path” for us to follow in our relationship with the universe. The clearer the path, the less limiting beliefs, the more abundance one attracts.

Most people adjust their wishes to fit within the confines of their existing limiting beliefs. But exceptionally successful people just expand their belief system to accommodate the wish.

Chakras
In the eastern studies, the chakras are the energy centres controlling and regulating and nourishes the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. Each chakra has a designated task. When negative or diseased energies are lodged in chakras obstructions to the healthy flow of energy occurs. This creates a disturbance in the normal and healthy function of the person leading to poor physical health, unhappiness, stress phobias and addictions.
Our past history is encoded in our energy body. Our physical, emotional, psychological, mental and spiritual state including the programs and beliefs has an imprint on our aura and chakras. If a person is healthy, happy, and mentally alert and is spiritually connected, the aura and the chakras are bigger and brighter. Pranic healing techniques can be applied to cleanse and charge the chakras. One becomes magnetic and easily attracts friends, employment, good salary and many opportunities.

Malckut - Basic Chakra
For example, the Basic chakra located at the base of the spine and corresponds to the Sephira Machut. It controls and regulates the physical structure of the human body. This includes the skeletal and muscular bodies, blood, adrenals, internal and sex organs, also the growth rate. But it is also the centre of self-preservation or self-survival and centre of dynamic activity and action. A person with a strong and big basic chakra will have strong physical body and will also recover quickly from an illness and will bounce back quickly from difficult situations. Such a person will also have good earning capacity, and have money. However, if the Basic chakra is weak, damaged, depleted, congested or over activated the person may have poor health, difficulty recovering from an illness, and their earning capacity diminished.

Keter – The Crown
The Keter in Kabalah means crown and corresponds to the crown chakra. Keter is the centre of spiritual consciousness or cosmic consciousness. It is through Keter that one experiences the expansion of consciousness, divine oneness and loving kindness for all. Keter is said to rest on the edge, between infinity and the finite world. Keter acts as a “barrier” between the other nine dimensions (Sephirot) and the infinite creator.

The Crown chakra is the entry point of spiritual energy. It is through the Keter that we are connected upward to the divine. The connection increases with the practice of positive virtues, the development of strong inner character and Meditation. One becomes whole and with integrity. The crown chakra is connected to the pineal gland. Inside the pineal gland is the ‘seed of consciousness’. The crown chakra controls and energizes the pineal gland, the brain and the entire body. Malfunction of the chakra may manifest as any physical or psychological illness According to Kabalah, one should not identify oneself with the physical body, or the desires rather than with the soul. If one identifies with the body or the desires or emotions, one becomes enslaved to the physical existence. When one identifies with the soul one is freed from enslavement. This attachment gives rise to stress phobias and manifest as addictions, which are a form of enslavement.
One of the tools given by the Kabalah is to learn to shut down the reactive system. To become aware of the desires and emotions, but before instantly responding, one should take a short pause, think and only then respond.
One is not born with addictive behaviour, but acquires such unwelcome and unwholesome character. Addiction is the inability to control the urge to act in a particular way, even if one consciously does not wish to do so. Addictive behaviour does not only include substances such as tobacco, drugs and alcohol. It may be abusive behaviour towards oneself as well as others.

As we navigate through these dimensions we get deeper insight from the eastern philosophy about the chakras. It is important to understand our energetic anatomy to achieve the most efficient use of our healing tools. The difficulty with clearing addictions has been due to the complexity of the energy system. Addictive energy is lodged in various chakras. The addictive behaviour indicates the malfunction of chakras.

According to the eastern philosophy, the chakras can be cleansed energized and rebalanced. There are many techniques. Master Choa Kok Sui has synthesized this knowledge and created simple healing techniques called Pranic Healing that provides the practitioner with powerful tools which allows one to cleanse the negative energy and recharge with fresh healthy energy (or prana). The techniques are simple and easy to learn. One is able to cleanse the energy of the negative thoughts and emotions lodged in the chakra. By understanding the deeper meaning provided by the Kabalah, one is able to get a better grasp and understanding of the chakras, to go beyond the limitations of the physical body. Once we make the connection to those dimensions, the healing that takes place is profound. By simply having awareness about those Sephirot (chakras) ones healing is accelerated.
